"A Child Ponders Bruce Nauman"
Martin (age 3) pondering Bruce Nauman's "For Beginners" (all the combinations of the thumb and fingers) at LACMA. While watching him interact with this very large video installation I was amazed at his connection to the work, a piece that most adults simply can't wait to get away from.
Perhaps kids need more exposure to art, even contemporary art than television. Martin was not a passive observer while viewing Nauman's work as well as Chris Burden's "Metropolis" another piece that I had to drag him away from after over half an hour of amazement. David Brady
